I appreciate all the aesthetics in this Winter Chill line but Missy Meow is the one that reaches me the most and she hits even better in person. I'll start with cons because there aren't many and then go into what I love.
Cons: While I personally love the overdone packaging because of the graphic design and the functionality of being able store the dolls back in these boxes I stand by the opinion that none of these can actually play sets like they're advertised. A cardboard closet isn't a playset, MGA. lol
Also, I'm not one hundred percent on the shades. I think a dramatic cat eye frame would've been more fitting. I understand how the bubble coat not being very good for posing can be irritating. You might have a hard time getting her to just put a hand on her hip. Kind of wish her eyes were a brighter green. The stuff they put in doll hair sometimes to make it stiff isn't a... great look. lol
Pros: The stuff in the doll hair can be easily washed out and all I did was wet her pigtails a bit just to be able to fan out the hair more and I love it. I wasn't sure about the hairstyle, thought I might take it down, but I love her hair in person! And I don't tend to like orange so I'm always impressed when something makes me love it. Also, the bubble coat is restrictive but maaan is it cool looking and so finely made.
I've seen people be unappreciative of her clashing patterns but I LOVE her outfit. It's loud and kind of punk and so much fun. The pink leopard suit against the orange tiger skirt is stunning to me. I love the inclusion of dark skin dolls wearing cool alternative outfits.
The outfit is well-made overall from the slight fuzziness of the skirt to the flocked texture of the purse, earmuffs, and boots. I love the accessories and wish she came with a regular cat ear headband so she can also wear her cool earrings, a spiked stud and an oversized paperclip.
Finally, I'm not terribly interested in the original lol surprise baby dolls but Baby Cat is pretty cute and silly. I chuckle every now and again at the name "Baby Cat". lol
Shes very cute! Her product photos do not do her any justice, Her puffy jacket makes her hard to pose though, i switched it with honeylicious's hoodie and it looks awesome now👍 I took down her buns and washed out all the glue and theres a whole lot!! If you want to take her hair down be warned, there's a TON of product in making her buns hard as rocks. Be prepared to spend a lot of time washing and brushing out gross gooey glue! It was totally worth it to me though, her hair is now very soft and she looks way cuter!
Love this doll! She was actually the doll I thought I would like the least, because I didn't like the multiple animal prints she wore. But I loved her hair. Her eye make up on the left is a little messed up, but like her anyway. Love her jacket shoes, and skirt. I did take Big Wigs stocking and body suit and put it on her. Love this look SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!
I thought I wouldn’t like her among the four, but I actually love all of them except for Missy Meow’s hair. With the help of a pioneer doll enthusiast I met on the gram, I was able to change her hair to something more appealing to me.
My 10 year old is writing this review: Cons: Crunchy/stiff hair, big amazon box, jacket doesn’t really allow posing Pros: once taken out of buns easy to brush if brush has water if not it would take longer to brush, everything was included, makeup wasn’t messed up, little sis’s face didn’t have anything that wasn’t suppose to and was painted correctly, easy to dress
Overall it’s a great doll I recommend taking the buns out if you don’t want it stiff/ crunchy
Omg! Fantastic! Amazing! Awesome!
